The new Galaxy Z Flip5 has a larger secondary screen that covers almost the entire front of the device.
By default, Samsung only allows users to open these applications on the secondary screen.
However, just download the Good Lock application on the pre-installed Galaxy Store app on your device to unlock the feature, allowing you to use almost any application on this secondary screen.
If you want to enjoy the feeling of using a full set of applications on the secondary screen, download Good Lock now.
The steps are a bit many but not difficult.
Open Good Lock, select Life up and download the MultiStar plugin.
In the MultiStar menu, select I <3 Galaxy Foldable.
Next is to click on Launcher Widget.
Turn on Launcher Widget, scroll down to select the applications you want to open on the secondary screen and you’re done.
Once installed successfully, you will definitely use this secondary screen more for simple tasks, such as replying to SMS, Messenger, Zalo, Telegram… There are also quite a few casual games.
The applications will be gathered in the Good Lock widget page.
Basic apps like Photo Album work perfectly, no problems.
If you want to text, you can always because the horizontal size of the screen is still wide enough.
Surfing Facebook on the secondary screen is a… strange experience.
Surfing is so fun. Even though the video size is small, not having the upper and lower parts truncated is a plus point.
Instagram also opens and uses almost normally, just the screen ratio is not very compatible.
Playing a casual game like Candy Crush on the secondary screen is great, but you’ll have to strain your eyes to see and touch accurately to avoid pulling the wrong candy.
Angry Birds is similar, it’s playable but everything is tiny and a bit hard to press.
Playing games like Lien Quan, Wild Rift, PUBG… on this screen adds some challenges because everything is small, harder to see, and harder to control accurately.
Even image editing can be `balanced` on the secondary screen.
In addition, Good Lock has a few simple games available, designed specifically for the secondary screen of the Galaxy Z Flip5 for you to open and try out right away.
However, there are still some problems that are difficult to fix, for example, the buttons are sometimes too small and cannot be pressed and there is no multitasking menu. If you exit the application, you may have to reload it from the beginning, which is quite annoying.
In Instagram, when viewing your own story, the image is not cropped…
… but looking at other people’s stories, it’s all over the place.
When playing games, some buttons are too small and located close to the edges, making them difficult to press.
The Shopee app opens after a few seconds and then quits on its own, there’s no way to fix it.
In addition to allowing apps to be opened on the secondary screen of the new Galaxy Z Flip5, the Good Lock app also integrates a lot of other cool things you can try on other Samsung phones, such as customizing the lock screen
