(Dan Tri) – Thousands of Swedes have integrated an electronic chip under their skin to replace ID cards, house keys, train tickets…, making everyday life easier.

A Swedish man had a chip implanted in his body.

According to Business Insider, about 3,000 Swedes have chosen to implant a tiny chip, about the size of a grain of rice, under their skin to make life easier.

According to AFP, this technology began appearing three years ago and has made the daily lives of those with chips faster and more convenient.

Last year, Sweden’s state-owned railway company SJ started scanning passengers’ hands instead of using regular train tickets.

Inserting the chip into the body is almost similar to getting a piercing.

The chips will be embedded under the skin of the hand.

The trend of Biohacking, which can be understood as attaching electronic devices to the body, has tended to increase sharply recently as people begin to use more wearable technology devices on the body.

Four years ago, the Bionyfiken group, a group famous for its biohacking technology, began implanting technological devices into the human body, in countries such as the UK, US, France, Germany and Mexico.

About 50 employees of vending machine company Three Square Market (USA) volunteered to have chips implanted in their hands to buy food, log into computers and use photocopiers.

Sweden is one of the countries with the most open mentality to applying technology in the world and they are willing to test the latest technologies to serve a better life.

Researchers also believe that in the long term biohacking technology will become popular.
