ROG Phone 2 is designed to impress the gaming community with its key features.
Asus ROG Phone 2 is backed by a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and it is the first smartphone to feature a 120Hz display refresh rate with 240Hz touch response time.
Coming to the hardware, the ROG Phone 2 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor along with Adreno 640 GPU. The phone is backed by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Asus has added the Armory crate application, which acts as a gaming center for smartphones.
Let’s start with Console.
Next comes the Game Lobby.
Moving on, we also have Game Genie, which can be accessed by swiping left while playing the game.
You have an option to lock brightness, limit notifications and calls while playing.
Gaming is a fun experience!
Asus ROG Phone 2 is a true joy for gamers.
Coming to more advanced games, I tried PUBG Mobile, Modern Combat 4 and Asphalt 9. To start with PUBG Mobile, the device takes the High setting as default.
Regarding heat management, I noticed that with two or two odd matches in PUBG Mobile, the bottom and left edge of the phone got too hot and it reached a certain limit where it became a bit difficult to hold in the hand.
Coming to Asphalt 9, I was immersed in the game experience and enjoyed the racing and graphics to the fullest extent.
Moving on, with Modern Combat 4, AirTriggers came in handy when I dictated shooting and aiming.
The only downside we found is the size of the device and the fact that it is heavy.
It’s safe to say the Asus ROG Phone 2 is a gaming beast and my new favorite device when it comes to gaming.
